In a recent article for Fast Company, Executive Vice President and Provost Fotis Sotiropoulos wrote about how industry and higher education can work together to amplify human talents in a world increasingly focused on AI.
"The world is changing, and like any great transformation of the past, opportunities come along with the hurdles. A new approach to education should align with a new way of working. A stronger higher education-industry relationship can build a graduate pipeline ready to challenge the status quo, ask big questions, work with others’ points of view, and positively impact their communities."
Sotiropoulos wrote about the AI Literacy Framework at Penn State, and the many examples of Penn State students and faculty working together to employ AI in solving real-world problems. He also wrote about his experience as a panelist at the Future Talent Summit in Stockholm this summer, and how companies there from across industries discussed the essential role humanity and culture will play in the future of work.
