UNIVERSITY PARK – At its first meeting of the spring semester, the Penn State Faculty Senate heard a presentation from the Senate Committee on Education about work being done to update the pass/fail grading policy and passed advisory reports on proposed changes to the University policies on General Standards of Professional Ethics and Confidentiality of Student Records.
The senate also approved minor updates to the standing rules for two of its committees and a policy revision related to adding co-operative education to the description of a set of common course numbers.
The senate also heard updates from University leadership and received an informational report about the financial management of the University Libraries.
