UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The election process for the 2025 election of trustees by alumni will begin on Monday, April 21, when ballots to elect candidates are automatically sent to alumni who have otherwise not opted out of Penn State communications to their email addresses on file with the university. Alumni also have the opportunity to access the ballot at PennStateVotes.com. Voting ballots will be accepted through 9 a.m. EST on Thursday, May 8. The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to the Board of Trustees.

Individuals eligible to participate in the alumni trustee election include all Penn State graduates, as well as former students who have passed at least one semester or two terms of work or more in a degree program. Former students may participate starting the year after they last attended the University. Voters do not need to be members of the Penn State Alumni Association in order to participate.

If alumni do not receive the nomination ballot to their email address on file with Penn State, or cannot access the PennStateVotes.com weblink, they should check their spam or junk email folders. The ballot email will be sent from PennStateVotes@yeselections.com. Alumni are encouraged to whitelist or allow their internet service provider to receive emails from PennStateVotes@yeselections.com.

The names of the 17 candidates for three positions on the board to be elected by alumni, along with the candidate materials, are available at https://trustees.psu.edu/candidate-materials-2025/#. Candidates are listed in alphabetical order on the webpage.
