UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State has partnered with Centre County United Way as our charity of choice for nearly half a century, supporting programming that improves the lives of many of our neighbors and friends. This support is not by chance. It is possible only through your support and participation in the Penn State United Way campaign.
Each year, we ask you for your donations – and your time, through events like the United Way Day of Caring – and you have met the challenge. This annual campaign contributes more than 40% of the funding raised for Centre County United Way each year, providing access to essential services like food, housing support, education and mental health resources.
The continued dedication of the Penn State community has allowed Centre County United Way’s 22 partner agencies to improve the lives of Centre County residents in need of help. This support for Centre County United Way connects our neighbors to life-changing resources in times of crisis and allows everyone the chance to grow and thrive.
This campaign is only possible with your support. Through donating and spreading the word, you assist our community in accessing healthcare, staying housed and caring for children. Through these efforts, our community as a whole is brought together and lives are changed.
Every year, one in three Centre County residents access the resources and services funded through the United Way. We are asking you, as a part of this community, to continue this longstanding tradition of giving and support. Whether it’s through a one-time donation or a regular payroll contribution, your support helps Centre County United Way to make a difference in our community.
