UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The workstream report, “Professional Master’s Degrees: National Alignment” from the Academic Portfolio and Program Review (APPR) committee is now available to the Penn State community. The report provides a comprehensive analysis of Penn State’s professional master’s programs in comparison to the national landscape.

Prepared by Hanover Research, the report characterizes the national landscape for individual programs including national employment growth, average annual openings, degree completions and the compound annual growth rate. The report has been shared with Penn State senior leadership and APPR Steering Committee. This is a high-level overview and should be viewed as a tool that is intended to be used in conjunction with other data and information.

Future reports
The final report from Hanover to be released will be a dashboard with Penn State programs at the campus and regional level along with labor market data at the county level.

The complete summary recommendations of the process, metrics and data teams will be released in a single report later this summer. This report will include observations and lessons learned during the APPR’s committee meetings.

Visit the APPR website to view the report and supplemental materials, as well as previous reports. To share feedback about the report, complete this form or email appr@psu.edu.
