UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Penn State students interested in pursuing a career in the technology industry have an opportunity to apply for IBM’s co-op program for positions slated to begin in early 2026.
IBM is looking for individuals from a variety of majors, including computer science and engineering, statistics, mathematics, information sciences and technology, communications and business, among others across academic colleges who want to gain hands-on experience and make real-world connections in areas like business consulting, data science, data engineering and technology while they complete their degree.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a semester standing of sophomore or above, with a projected graduation of May 2026 or beyond. Individuals must also be able to work within the U.S without present or future sponsorship and obtain any necessary government security clearances. Students are expected to work up to 20 hours a week during the academic year and up to 40 hours a week during the summer, with hourly pay.
