ABINGTON, Pa. — The Penn State Abington free concert series welcomes the Behn Gillece Group for a performance of Pivot Point: Modern Jazz with a Timeless Groove at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, in the campus’ Sutherland Auditorium, located at1600 Woodland Road in Abington.

Led by award-winning vibraphonist Behn Gillece, this ensemble of top New York-area musicians will perform original music and reimagined classics that combine the lyricism of the jazz tradition with a fresh new sound.

Gillece, who hails from New Jersey, immersed himself in the East Coast jazz scene and draws inspiration from jazz greats like Gary Burton, Milt Jackson and Bobby Hutcherson.
